Section 1 — Introduction & Scope
1.1 Purpose

These Platform Terms & Conduct (“Terms”) establish the standards, responsibilities, and conditions governing access to and use of Dream Steam Labs platforms, services, and educational offerings (collectively, the “Platform”). The purpose of these Terms is to promote a safe, respectful, professional, and legally compliant learning environment for all users.

1.2 Scope of Application

These Terms apply to all individuals who access or use the Platform, including but not limited to instructors, facilitators, mentors, course participants, administrators, collaborators, and any other users who authenticate and engage with Platform services (“Users”).

Certain obligations within these Terms apply only when a User is acting in a specific role (e.g., instructional or participatory). Role-specific responsibilities are identified within the relevant sections of this document.

1.3 Relationship to Other Policies

These Terms operate in conjunction with the Dream Steam Labs Privacy Policy and any additional policies, guidelines, or notices referenced herein. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and another Platform policy, these Terms shall govern unless explicitly stated otherwise.

1.4 Acceptance and Binding Effect

By accessing or using the Platform after accepting these Terms, Users acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by them. Acceptance of these Terms is a condition of continued access to Platform services.

Section 2 — Definitions

2.1 “Platform”

“Platform” refers to all digital, instructional, and experiential environments operated or provided by Dream Steam Labs, including but not limited to learning management systems, web applications, websites, immersive or extended reality experiences, communications tools, and related services.

2.2 “User”

“User” refers to any individual who accesses, logs into, or otherwise uses the Platform, whether on a temporary or ongoing basis.

2.3 “Instructor”

“Instructor” refers to any User authorized by Dream Steam Labs to deliver instruction, facilitate learning experiences, mentor participants, create or manage instructional content, or otherwise act in an instructional or supervisory capacity on the Platform.

2.4 “Course Participant”

“Course Participant” refers to any User who enrolls in, attends, or otherwise participates in a course, program, workshop, or learning activity offered through the Platform.

2.5 “Content”

“Content” refers to all materials made available through the Platform, including but not limited to text, images, audio, video, assessments, simulations, source files, software components, immersive media, and instructional materials.

2.6 “User-Generated Content”

“User-Generated Content” refers to any Content created, submitted, uploaded, or otherwise contributed to the Platform by a User.

2.7 “Services”

“Services” refers to the educational, technical, and support functions provided by Dream Steam Labs through the Platform, including access to courses, tools, communications, and related resources.

2.8 “Minor”

“Minor” refers to any individual under the age of eighteen (18), or under the age of majority as defined by applicable law.

2.9 “Applicable Law”

“Applicable Law” refers to all local, state, national, and international laws, regulations, and legal obligations relevant to the use and operation of the Platform.

Section 3 — Role-Based Obligations
3.1 General User Responsibilities

All Users are expected to:

  • Use the Platform in a lawful, respectful, and responsible manner

  • Comply with these Terms and all referenced policies

  • Protect the confidentiality and security of their account credentials

  • Refrain from conduct that disrupts Platform operations or interferes with the learning experience of others

Users are responsible for their actions while accessing or using the Platform, regardless of location or device.

3.2 Instructor Obligations

In addition to the general responsibilities above, Users acting in an instructional, facilitation, mentoring, or supervisory capacity (“Instructors”) are expected to:

  • Maintain professional boundaries with course participants

  • Foster a respectful, inclusive, and safe learning environment

  • Communicate clearly, professionally, and in good faith

  • Refrain from harassment, discrimination, or abuse of authority

  • Protect confidential information relating to course participants

  • Use Platform tools and content in accordance with instructional authorization and licensing terms

Instructor obligations apply whenever a User is acting in an instructional or supervisory role, regardless of whether that role is paid, volunteer, temporary, or informal.

3.3 Course Participant Expectations

Users acting as course participants are expected to:

  • Engage respectfully with instructors, peers, and staff

  • Complete work honestly and submit original content unless otherwise permitted

  • Follow course-specific rules and instructions communicated by instructors

  • Refrain from disruptive, abusive, or dishonest behavior

  • Use Platform content solely for authorized educational purposes

Course participant expectations apply to all learning activities conducted through the Platform, including synchronous, asynchronous, and immersive experiences.

3.4 Multiple Roles

A User may hold more than one role on the Platform at different times or in different contexts. Role-specific obligations apply based on the User’s role and conduct at the time of the activity in question.

Section 4 — Professional and Respectful Conduct
4.1 General Standard of Conduct

All Users are expected to conduct themselves in a professional, respectful, and responsible manner while accessing or using the Platform. Conduct that undermines the safety, dignity, or learning experience of others is not permitted.

4.2 Respectful Communication

Users must engage in communication that is appropriate for an educational and professional environment. This includes communications through forums, messaging systems, live sessions, immersive environments, and any other Platform-enabled interactions.

Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:

  • Harassment, intimidation, or threats

  • Discriminatory language or behavior based on protected characteristics

  • Excessive profanity or hostile communication

  • Disruptive behavior that interferes with instruction or participation

4.3 Harassment, Discrimination, and Abuse

Dream Steam Labs does not tolerate harassment, discrimination, or abusive conduct in any form. This includes verbal, written, visual, or digital behavior that creates a hostile, intimidating, or offensive environment.

Harassment or abuse may occur regardless of intent and may involve a single incident or a pattern of behavior.

4.4 Boundaries and Appropriate Relationships

Users, particularly those acting in instructional or supervisory roles, must maintain appropriate professional boundaries with course participants. Exploitative, coercive, or inappropriate relationships or interactions are strictly prohibited.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Abuse of authority or influence

  • Inappropriate personal communications

  • Solicitation of personal information beyond legitimate educational purposes

4.5 Conduct in Digital and Immersive Environments

The same standards of professional and respectful conduct apply to all digital, virtual, and immersive environments associated with the Platform, including video sessions, discussion boards, simulations, and extended reality experiences.

Users must not engage in behavior that:

  • Disrupts immersive experiences

  • Creates unsafe or uncomfortable virtual environments

  • Misuses avatars, representations, or digital tools to harass or deceive others

4.6 Safety and Wellbeing

Users are expected to contribute to a learning environment that prioritizes safety and wellbeing. Any conduct that poses a risk to physical, emotional, or psychological safety may result in immediate corrective action.

4.7 Duty to Report

Users who experience or witness conduct that may violate this section are encouraged to report concerns through appropriate Platform channels. Reports will be handled in accordance with applicable policies and legal requirements.

Section 5 — Digital Platform Use and Acceptable Use
5.1 Authorized Use

The Platform is provided for lawful, educational, and professional purposes only. Users may access and use the Platform solely in accordance with these Terms, applicable laws, and any additional instructions or limitations communicated by Dream Steam Labs.

Unauthorized use of the Platform is prohibited.

5.2 Account Responsibility and Security

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for all activities conducted under their account. Users must not share login credentials, impersonate others, or access accounts or systems without authorization.

Dream Steam Labs is not responsible for losses or damages resulting from unauthorized account access caused by a User’s failure to safeguard credentials.

5.3 Prohibited Activities

Users must not engage in activities that compromise the integrity, security, or proper functioning of the Platform. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data

  • Circumventing security measures or access controls

  • Introducing malicious code, scripts, or automated processes

  • Misusing Platform tools in a manner inconsistent with their intended purpose

  • Interfering with or disrupting Platform services or infrastructure

5.4 Use of Content and Materials

Users may access and use Platform Content only as permitted for educational or authorized purposes. Content may not be copied, distributed, modified, reverse-engineered, or reused outside the Platform unless expressly authorized in writing by Dream Steam Labs or otherwise permitted under applicable licensing terms.

5.5 Third-Party Tools and Integrations

The Platform may include integrations with third-party tools or services. Use of such tools is subject to their respective terms and policies. Dream Steam Labs does not control and is not responsible for third-party services, functionality, or availability.

5.6 System Availability and Modifications

Dream Steam Labs reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Platform at any time, including for maintenance, updates, security, or operational reasons. Access to the Platform is provided on an “as available” basis and is not guaranteed to be uninterrupted or error-free.

5.7 Enforcement

Violations of this section may result in corrective action, including restriction, suspension, or termination of access to the Platform, without prior notice when necessary to protect Platform integrity or user safety.

Section 6 — Youth and Safety Protections
6.1 Applicability

Certain programs, courses, or activities offered through the Platform may involve minors. When minors are present or reasonably anticipated to be present, additional safety, supervision, and conduct expectations apply to all Users, particularly those acting in instructional, facilitation, or supervisory roles.

6.2 Duty of Care

Users interacting with minors are expected to exercise appropriate care, professionalism, and judgment at all times. Conduct must prioritize the physical, emotional, and psychological wellbeing of minors and comply with applicable laws, regulations, and institutional safeguards.

6.3 Prohibited Conduct Involving Minors

The following conduct is strictly prohibited in any context involving minors:

  • Harassment, exploitation, or abuse of any kind

  • Inappropriate personal communications or relationships

  • Solicitation of personal information unrelated to legitimate educational purposes

  • Conduct that is sexualized, coercive, or otherwise harmful

Prohibited conduct may occur in digital, virtual, immersive, or in-person environments and is not limited to direct interaction.

6.4 Supervision and Platform Use

When minors participate in Platform activities, Dream Steam Labs may implement additional supervision, access controls, or content limitations. Users must comply with all supervision and safety measures communicated for such activities.

6.5 Reporting Safety Concerns

Users who become aware of conduct that may pose a risk to a minor are encouraged to report concerns promptly through appropriate Platform channels. Dream Steam Labs may take immediate action to protect individuals and ensure Platform safety.

Where required by Applicable Law, concerns may be escalated to appropriate authorities.

6.6 Compliance with Applicable Law

All Users are responsible for complying with child protection, mandatory reporting, and safeguarding laws applicable to their jurisdiction and role. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit or replace legal obligations imposed by Applicable Law.

Section 7 — Intellectual Property and Content Ownership
7.1 Platform-Owned Content

Unless otherwise expressly stated, all Content made available through the Platform that is created, owned, or licensed by Dream Steam Labs (“Platform Content”) remains the exclusive intellectual property of Dream Steam Labs or its licensors.

Platform Content may not be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed, published, reverse-engineered, or reused outside the Platform without prior written authorization from Dream Steam Labs, except as expressly permitted for educational use within the Platform.

7.2 Instructor-Created Content 

By submitting or delivering Instructor-Created Content through the Platform, Instructors grant Dream Steam Labs a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, distribute, reproduce, adapt, record, and otherwise use such Content directly or through service providers acting on Dream Steam Labs’ behalf for purposes including, but not limited to:

– Course delivery and facilitation
– Platform operation, maintenance, and improvement
– Quality assurance and internal review
– Program continuity and archival records
– Marketing, promotion, and demonstration of Platform offerings

This license is granted upon submission or delivery of the Content and continues after termination or expiration of the Instructor’s relationship with the Platform for so long as the Content remains reasonably necessary for the purposes described above.

7.3 Course Participant-Created Content 

By submitting User-Generated Content to the Platform, Course Participants grant Dream Steam Labs a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to store, display, reproduce, record, and process such Content for educational delivery, evaluation, platform operation, documentation, and promotional purposes, subject to applicable privacy protections.

This license continues after account termination to the extent reasonably necessary to operate, document, or protect Platform services.

7.4 Restrictions on Reuse and Redistribution

User-Generated Content, Instructor-created Content, and Platform Content may not be reused, repurposed, distributed, or made publicly available outside the Platform without appropriate authorization from the applicable rights holder.

Automated extraction, scraping, or use of Platform Content for training artificial intelligence systems or other secondary uses is prohibited unless expressly authorized in writing by Dream Steam Labs.

7.5 Respect for Intellectual Property Rights

Users must respect the intellectual property rights of Dream Steam Labs and of other Users. Uploading or sharing Content that infringes the rights of others is prohibited and may result in corrective action.

7.6 Enforcement

Violations of this section may result in removal of content, restriction of access, or other corrective action, in addition to any remedies available under Applicable Law.

7.7 Commissioned and Work-for-Hire Content 

Content created by Instructors or other contributors under a separate written agreement that expressly designates such content as “work made for hire” or assigns ownership to Dream Steam Labs shall be owned exclusively by Dream Steam Labs, as specified in the applicable agreement.

Section 8 — Recording, Media, and Consent
8.1 Recording of Platform Activities

Dream Steam Labs may record or capture Platform activities, including but not limited to live sessions, virtual meetings, immersive or extended reality experiences, simulations, demonstrations, and instructional content (“Recordings”).

Recordings may include audio, video, screen content, virtual environments, avatars, and other digital representations associated with Platform use.

8.2 Purpose of Recordings

Recordings may be used for purposes including, but not limited to:

  • Educational delivery and review

  • Quality assurance and instructor training

  • Program documentation and continuity

  • Platform improvement and development

  • Marketing, promotional, or demonstrative use

Use of Recordings is subject to applicable privacy protections and Platform policies.

8.3 User Participation and Consent

By participating in Platform activities where recording may occur, Users acknowledge and consent to being included in such Recordings, subject to the terms of this section and the Dream Steam Labs Privacy Policy.

Where required by Applicable Law, additional notice or consent mechanisms may be provided.

8.4 Limitations and Reasonable Use

Dream Steam Labs will use reasonable efforts to limit Recordings to content relevant to educational, operational, or promotional purposes. Recordings will not be used in a manner that is misleading or materially misrepresents User participation.

8.5 Opt-Out and Access Limitations

In certain circumstances, Users may be offered the ability to opt out of recordings or limit participation in recorded activities. However, opt-out options may not be available for all Platform activities, particularly where recording is necessary for instructional delivery, safety, documentation, or compliance purposes.

8.6 Third-Party Services

Recordings may be stored, processed, or delivered through third-party service providers acting on behalf of Dream Steam Labs. Such services are subject to contractual confidentiality and data protection obligations consistent with the Platform’s Privacy Policy.

8.7 Retention

Recordings may be retained for so long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this section, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or maintain Platform records.

Section 9 — Enforcement and Consequences
9.1 Monitoring and Review

Dream Steam Labs may review user activity, content, or conduct on the Platform as reasonably necessary to ensure compliance with these Terms, protect user safety, and maintain Platform integrity.

Such review may be conducted manually or through automated means, subject to applicable privacy protections.

9.2 Violations

A violation of these Terms may include, but is not limited to:

  • Failure to comply with Platform policies

  • Misuse of Platform systems or content

  • Conduct that undermines safety, trust, or educational objectives

  • Repeated or serious breaches of professional or respectful conduct

Determinations of violations are made in good faith based on available information.

9.3 Corrective Actions

In response to violations, Dream Steam Labs may take corrective action it deems appropriate, including but not limited to:

  • Informal warnings or guidance

  • Content removal or restriction

  • Temporary suspension of access

  • Permanent termination of access

  • Referral to appropriate authorities when required by Applicable Law

Corrective actions may be applied immediately where necessary to protect individuals or the Platform.

9.4 Discretion and No Obligation to Provide Notice

Dream Steam Labs retains discretion in determining whether and how to enforce these Terms. While the Platform may choose to provide notice or an opportunity to respond in certain cases, it is not obligated to do so in all circumstances.

9.5 No Waiver

Failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce such provision in the future.

10.1 Reporting Concerns

10.3 Updates and Modifications

Dream Steam Labs may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in Platform operations, legal requirements, or program offerings. When material changes are made, Users will be notified through the Platform, and continued use of the Platform after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10.4 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under Applicable Law, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

10.5 Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the User and Dream Steam Labs regarding Platform conduct and use, except where additional written agreements expressly apply.

Section 11 — Acknowledgement and Versioning
11.1 Acknowledgement of Agreement

By selecting “I agree,” accessing, or continuing to use the Platform, Users acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Platform Terms & Conduct, as well as any referenced policies incorporated herein.

11.2 Version Control

These Terms are versioned and effective as of the date indicated at the time of acceptance. Dream Steam Labs maintains records of user acceptance, including the applicable version and acceptance date, in accordance with Platform practices.

11.3 Continued Use

Continued access to or use of the Platform following the effective date of any updated version of these Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
